I'm one of those "jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none" kind of guys. I started out as a musician then transitioned into a worship pastor and then became a full-on pastor. But I jump ahead of myself...
Sheila and I have been married for 42 years. We have 3 boys, 2 daughters-in-law, and 6 grandchildren. (The most amazing grandkids on the planet I might add.)
In 1989 we felt compelled to uproot our family and move to South Africa. We agreed to come for 2 years, which turned into 3 and then 4 and finally 32! We love South Africa and feel like we received much more from South Africa than South Africa has ever received from us!
1989 - 1997 I worked with Youth for Christ in Durban.
1997 - 2007 I was the Worship Pastor at Westville Baptist Church.
2007 - 2020 I served as Creative Arts Director and then Campus Pastor at Grace Family Church.
In 2020 I retired from occupational church ministry.
2013 - 2021 In 2013 Sheila and I opened the La Lucia Baby House We were crisis parents to 6 small abandoned babies. They stayed with us until they are either reunited with family or adopted into loving permanent homes. In those 8 years, we have cared for 64 beautiful little lives.
In August of 2021, we moved back to the USA to be close to our family.
